Gavon N Morris is Principal and Chief Strategist at Noble Cause Solutions LLC, a consulting firm providing strategic fundraising, marketing, and operational support to mission-driven organizations. Gavon is also Co-Owner and Managing Partner of Noble Nisse LLC, an organic farm in North San Diego County, that grows and sells avocados, citrus, duck eggs, herbs, and other products.
With nearly 25 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, philanthropy, business development, and marketing communications within the public benefit sector, Gavon has dedicated his career to mission-driven organizations and advancing transformative community impact. He is an effective leader, strategist, practitioner, collaborator, and advocate. Through his work on social issues and his own lived experience, Gavon is deeply committed to amplifying the voices of marginalized people and uplifting justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion for all.
Gavon has served in senior leadership roles at local and nationally affiliated organizations, including YWCA San Diego County, Feeding San Diego, and The New Children’s Museum. Throughout his career, Gavon has spearheaded and implemented numerous initiatives to maximize mission impact, revenue growth, and community engagement during periods of significant organizational growth and change. He possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and leads high-performing, cross-functional teams using a strengths-based approach.
Gavon holds the designated Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential from CFRE International, recognizing fundraising professionals who are committed to the highest standards of ethical and professional practice in the philanthropic sector.
Prior to his career in nonprofits, Gavon worked in the for-profit marketing industry and studied business administration at the University of California at Berkeley.
